This could be you, on the bus to our wedding

We have good news for everyone. We extended the Shuttle Service on the day of the wedding to make the transportation easier for everyone. You can now take our yellow school bus from town in Mill Valley all the way to our ceremony, then on the the reception, and finally back to your campsite or car at the end of the night. To catch the bus, just show up at 2:30 and park your car at the Manzanita park and ride lot, which is located at Hwy 101 at Shoreline Hwy 1 (Manzanita), Mill Valley, CA. But be warned - there is only one bus up the mountain and it leaves at 2:30 sharp, so don’t be late!
    Bus Schedule

2:30 PM The bus picks up people at the bus shelter in the Mill Valley park and ride, Hwy 101 at Shoreline Hwy 1 (Manzanita), Mill Valley, CA

3:00 PM Bus drops off people at Trojan Point on Mt Tam for our wedding ceremony

4:00 PM The bus takes people from Trojan point to The Alpine club for our reception

9:30 PM The bus takes people from the Alpine Club to Pantoll Campground (where some folks are camping)

10:00 PM The bus returns to the Alpine club, takes people back to their cars at the Park and Ride

OK, so recap: Go to the park and ride at 2:30 on Oct. 1 to get on the bus to our wedding. It will make your life easier, and you will get to ride in a school bus. Fun! Here is a map of the park and ride. See you there!

In addition to your victorian finery, you may wish to bring a pair of sensible shoes for the short walk out on to the bluff for the ceremony… Then you can wear your dancing shoes at the reception.

My friend Mikhail and I went to the flower market today. We oohed and awed over beautiful branches, leaves, fronds and flowers. Then we checked what would be available in October and bought all kinds of wonderful things… like flowering kale(!!) and dahlias and thistles. Back at the house, Mikhail clipped and trimmed and shoved stems into mason jars. Then, like magic, there they were: arrangements, abouquet featuring cabbage, and a boutonniere (modeled by Mikhail’s husband Paul).

I can’t think of a better Saturday. Thanks so much, guys!

Invitations are on their way. A big thank you to my mom, who hand lettered every address, my dad, who drove down to bring them to us, and to Travis and Diana, who helped us assemble all the pieces and get them in the mail.  View high resolution

Update: we moved the ceremony to 3pm instead of 4…

…so that there is more time for dancing. Make a note of it.

We have started to cook for the party. Here are lasagna making pics, featuring our friends in LA who spent the weekend helping us make and freeze enough handmade pasta for 100 people… no small task.

Jason and I went to LA, where Denise Donlon shared her family lasagna recipe with us. Our friends Diana, Travis, Lynsay, Patrick, Jenna and Jim helped, Chris Donlon filmed us, and pretty soon we had rolled enough pasta for 100 people. Thanks everyone!
